About the FY 2025-26 Grant Program

The Local Government Cybersecurity Grant Program is a $15 million grant opportunity funded through the 2025-26 General Appropriations Act. This program is designed to enhance cybersecurity resilience in local governments, with a priority focus on small and fiscally constrained communities and those within rural areas of opportunity.

Application Timeline

  • Opens: July 11, 2025
  • Closes: August 31, 2025
  • Award Notifications: Expected Fall 2025
  • Submission Method: Applications must be submitted online through the official grant application form. Submissions via email or other methods will not be accepted.

Who Should Apply

  • Florida local governments may apply, with priority focus on small and fiscally constrained communities and those within rural areas of opportunity.
  • Year 1 and Year 2 recipients are eligible—and strongly encouraged—to apply.
  • No local match is required.

How the Grant Works

Rather than issuing direct funding, the Florida Digital Service will procure cybersecurity solutions directly on behalf of awarded applicants. No payments will be made to grant recipients.

The grant is designed to support the delivery of new or expanded capabilities, and will not subsidize payments for tools, services, or contracts already in place.
